Hormone imbalance is one of the most common causes of weight loss difficulties, though there are other explanations as well. If your endocrine glands don't produce enough of a particular hormone, you could gain weight and find it very difficult to lose it. Some of the following hormonal diseases include the potential to cause weight gain:
Insulin
Cortisol
Estrogen
Testosterone
Leptin
Ghrelin
Our mental health can also have a big impact on how much weight we gain or lose.
